In 1974, an ex-Army officer in Fayetteville realized he couldn’t afford to establish a library, so he did the second-best thing. From modest beginnings that included Canada Dry Ginger Ale crates, buildings originally designed to function as chicken coops, and a store that the founder built himself, Edward McKay Used Books & More has grown to four stores across North Carolina…
… including Raleigh, the capital city of North Carolina but third on our store list. After moving twice, the Raleigh store has settled in to its current location with over 10,000 square feet of space! Our store is on Capital Boulevard, right across the street from Chuck E. Cheese.
In addition to books we sell movies (DVD, VHS, Blu-ray), CDs, vinyl records, electronics (like iPods and e-readers), video games, audio books, textbooks … well, “and more!” In fact, a lot more!
