In 1974, an ex-Army officer in Fayetteville realized he couldn’t afford to establish a library, so he did the second-best thing. From modest beginnings that included Canada Dry Ginger Ale crates, buildings originally designed to function as chicken coops, and a store that the founder built himself, Edward McKay Used Books & More has grown to four stores across North Carolina…
But the Fayetteville store started it all. Its current location is the biggest so far in Fayetteville, with over 8,500 square feet. We started with used books, and it’s still our main focus. But today we carry not only books but also music CDs, movies (on DVD, VHS, and Blu-Ray), textbooks, audiobooks, video games, electronics (like iPods and eBook readers) and even gifts and t-shirts. The vast majority of our merchandise comes from you, the public!
We’re open seven days a week to buy, sell, and trade. Drop by or give us a call; we’re ready to feed your head!
